Are you considering the purchase of a little fridge but maybe you aren’t sure if the advantages of a small fridge will justify that bit of extra cash? You have probably seen these in a hotel room stocked with all kinds of goodies or you remember them from your college days.

Let’s look at some of the many advantages; you will probably be surprised at how useful they can be. Running a fair sized refrigerator can really tag dollars to the electric bill and if you are single and rarely home maybe consider the smaller unit opposed to hiking up your electric bill. The small size works in your favor to cool down food and drinks quickly.

The size is one of its biggest advantages especially for young people that move frequently. Many apartments do not even come with a fridge so it’s up to you to supply one; a new small fridge will run a lot less than a full sized unit.

Young adults often share apartments or small houses with several people all trying to use the fridge. If you have your own then there are no worries about what is your food that you paid for and others eating it by mistake or on purpose. It can easily be kept in your own room where you have control of the food.

Moving day is a cinch with a light weight small portable fridge that fits easily in the back of a car or pickup and they are not too heavy to transport up and down steps. Some apartments or studios are so small that kitchen counter space is at a premium; these fit nicely under the sink cabinet freeing up counter space.

Space in dorm rooms is almost non existent; these fit on a book shelf, a couple of bricks and a board or in your closet. People with swimming pools enjoy the luxury of grabbing a cold drink from the fridge on the back patio.

Are there any more advantages of a small fridge? Probably the most important; place one filled with your favorite beverages right next to the hot tub in your gazebo.
